My name is Roger, I flew first time in 1994 on La Palma and since 2005 I am working as a freelance Paragliding-Guide on the island La Palma. I am working together with Javier, the local Tandem Pilot. We are offering a full Guide Package including Apartment. For more information consult Palmaclub.

My Paragliding CV:

First contact with paragliding was 1988, Swiss licence "Brevet SHV" 1990. SHV Tandem B-Licence in July 2006. SHV Tandem A 2007. Swiss Instructor for Paragliding and Tandem (BAZL) 2007. Total paragliding flights appx. 1300.
First flight on La Palma January 1994. Already appx. 600 flights on la Palma. Since 2005 I am spending my time mostly for paragliding and am approximalely 200h per year in the air. First and only one participation in an international competition together with the worlds best pilots: "Desafio Isla de La Palma 2005". Ranking 13 with a Swing Astral 3, DHV 2.
I am also certified to service all emergency parachutes including papillon from Vonblon. On the Island I am working in addition as "Para-Doc" and am repairing paragliders if there was an incident at the start or landing in order to prevent you being grounded in your vaccation after such an incident.

My flying Ambitions:

I am an enthusiastic paragliding pilot. I am loving to soar but also to discover the territory while flying away and running for distance. I am also flying from time to time in hard thermal conditions (but usualy getting soon tired if it is too hard) and am always planning with a good portion of security. I am flying for fun. Thats also why I am normally not participating in competitions.

1990-1992: Firebird Twist, 1992-1996: Falhawk Atoll 110, 1996-2002: Airea Aspect, 2002- 2007: Swing Astral 3. 2007- Gradient Aspen 2.26.
